The Brown House is a made-to-order Walk-Up and Drive Thru Restaurant in Auburn, Indiana. You can order by calling your order in, walking in, or placing it at one of our 2 drive thru speakers! We have a small outdoor patio with 4 tables... for seats up to 12. Since our outdoor seating is limited and all of our food is for Carry Out already... many people love to take their food across the street to Eckhart Park to enjoy! :)
Our coney dogs are our most popular item! However, many people also enjoy our cheeseburgers, in-house hand breaded tenderloins, and our house made pork BBQ sandwiches!
And we cannot forgot the traditional soft serve vanilla, chocolate, or twist cones with a CANDY CHERRY... YUM!
If you are thirsty you're probably treating yourself to a flavored coke (cherry, vanilla, or chocolate) or maybe even a MILKSHAKE! Some might even say we have the best ICE in DeKalb County!
The Brown House began in 1949 at the DeKalb County Free Fall Fair by the Cole Family. It was owned by the Cole Family until 1975 when it was purchased by Tom and Marsha Armstrong. The restaurant sits on top of the old weighing scales of the Hoodelmeier Coal Company.
July 1, 2019 The Brown House was purchased by Parker and Erica Klein. Parker and Erica both have Hospitality Degrees from Purdue University. We love keeping tradition alive while also bringing some new fun to the restaurant!
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. Or you can email us at TheBrownHouseAuburn@Gmail.com
